Privacy policy
Effective October 23, 2026 · Publisher: Nicholas Serina
Your task history stays on your devices. Category sharing is optional and off by default. No advertising, tracking SDKs or end-user account.
Your tasks and timers
Kadence stores task names, notes, attempts, schedules and medals locally on your iPhone or iPad. A paired Apple Watch stores transferred tasks, its timer and saved attempts awaiting sync, using Apple’s WatchConnectivity to communicate with iPhone. Widget and Live Activity displays may show task names on system surfaces. Your device’s backup settings and any Files export you choose may copy this data to Apple or another storage provider. Kadence does not send this task history to its developer.
Purchase, not advertising
Kadence is paid upfront. There are no ads, subscriptions, in-app purchases or online entitlement checks inside the app. Apple processes the App Store purchase; Kadence does not collect payment-card details. Timing and local saving work offline.
Optional category analytics
Only after you explicitly enable sharing in Privacy & analytics, Kadence sends counts of task creations and completed attempts, grouped by fixed categories you select and UTC day. Categories are never inferred from your names or notes. A fresh random batch reference and content hash prevent duplicate delivery; there is no persistent user or installation identifier.
These uploads exclude task names, notes, task IDs, timer durations, exact completion times, schedules, location, advertising identifiers and device identifiers. Old history is not backfilled. Offline Watch attempts can count when imported by an opted-in phone only if they were completed after consent.
We use combined counts to understand participating category activity in a private developer dashboard, not to count unique users, sell data, advertise or track you across apps. Turning sharing off stops new uploads and clears unsent counts without changing timer features. Requests already received cannot be recalled. Because totals have no user identifier, an individual contribution cannot be identified or removed from them.
Voluntary support
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send so we can respond. In-app reports, when enabled, are separate from analytics: they contain a random reference, the topic, title, description and reproduction steps you type. App, build and iOS version numbers are included only if you choose. Reports require your Send confirmation. No task history, notes, screenshots or logs are automatically attached. In-app reports request no reply address, so use email if you need a reply.
Please do not include sensitive personal information. Free text or email can identify you. Support content is used to investigate issues, respond to requests and protect the service, not for category rankings or advertising. Authorized support access is limited to the developer and service providers processing the request.
Services and network information
The category collection and support queue run on Cloudflare Workers and D1. Infrastructure processes network information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect requests. A daily-salted network key limits abuse; IP addresses are not written to Kadence’s analytics database. Application request-body logging is not enabled. Infrastructure providers may process and retain operational or security information under their own policies; this is not a promise that every network trace is anonymous or immediately erased.
The public support website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The owner-authenticated analytics dashboard uses OpenAI Sites. Support email uses Google Workspace. Providers may process data in countries other than your own. See the providers’ policies: Cloudflare, OpenAI, Google, and Apple. This website adds no advertising or analytics scripts, custom tracking cookies or contact form; its host still handles ordinary web requests.
Retention
- Active combined category counts cover 90 UTC days. Random analytics delivery receipts expire after eight days. Unsent device counts cover today and six previous UTC days.
- In-app report text is removed from the active forwarding queue after successful forwarding, or after seven days if delivery fails. A random report reference and hash remain for up to eight days. Scheduled cleanup runs every 15 minutes, with additional access-time pruning.
- Deleting active database data does not instantly erase provider recovery history. Cloudflare D1’s automatic recovery window is seven days on the Free plan or 30 days on the Paid plan; it can retain deleted queue content within that window.
- Forwarded reports and support email are separate from the short-lived queue. There is no automatic inbox deletion deadline currently configured. Messages may remain while handling support, maintaining issue records or meeting legal obligations; you can request deletion using the contact below. Provider backups and legal retention can delay complete erasure.
- Local history stays until you delete it or erase the app’s data. Copies you export or keep in device backups are under your control.
Children and general audience
Kadence is a general-audience productivity tool, not a children’s service or a medical product. Children should use local features with guidance from a parent or guardian. Children under 13 should not enable sharing or submit reports or email containing personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information can contact us to request review and deletion where identifiable.
Your questions and rights
Contact support@serinamediagroup.com for privacy questions or to request access, correction or deletion of identifiable support information, subject to applicable law. For an in-app report, include its reference if available, not your task history. We may need enough information to verify the request. We cannot remotely access or delete local device history, or locate your contribution within identity-free combined totals. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights, including contacting your local data-protection authority.
We will update this policy when practices change and seek renewed consent where required before expanding optional collection. Contact and help: Kadence support.
